Mayall is credited as being a blues pioneer in England in the late Sixties.
Mayall released several albums in the Seventies after moving to Los Angeles in 1969.
The Bluesbreakers also featured guitarist Mick Taylor, who joined the Rolling Stones after Mayalls recommendation.
