Ridley Scottmay be two months away from therelease ofGladiatorIIand his 87th birthday, but hes already cooking up an idea for a thirdGladiatorflick.
In an interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker was asked about next projects and flat-out said, Id rather get on intoGladiator III.
Scott went on to say, Theres already an idea, and while he didnt give away too much, he said he was drawing inspiration fromThe Godfather Part II.

Gladiator IIis set tohit theaters on Nov. 22(and Scotts birthday, if youre keeping track, is on Nov. 30).
The film arrives 24 years after the firstGladiatorfilm, which was a massive critical and box office success, winning Best Picture and Best Actor (for Russell Crowe) at the 73rd Academy Awards.
