The suspect wasapprehendedin Martin County and later identified asRyan Wesley Routh, 58, of Hawaii.
Prosecutors are seekinga grand jury indictmentand expect to bring additional charges against Routh.
Routh has reportedly been previously arrested eight times, mostly for minor issues, according toCNN.
