The motion also claimed that new evidence had come out that could prove someone else orchestrated Shakurs killing.

That lead needed to be investigated, Davis lawyers claimed, before the originally scheduled March 2025 start date.

At the hearing yesterday, Judge Carli Kierny agreed to push the trial to Feb. 9, 2026.
